RESILIENTLEE
In response to the massive and widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Ian, the Lee Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to form the Recovery Task Force based on the FEMA National Disaster Recovery Framework.
OBJECTIVE 1
Survey the immediate, short-term, and long-term needs of Lee County.
OBJECTIVE 2
Identify and engage key partners to address the needs of the community.
OBJECTIVE 3
Develop viable, feasible, desirable, and actionable solutions to meet those needs.
OBJECTIVE 4
Maximize funding resources available and recommend policies necessary to implement those solutions.
The ResilientLee Recovery & Resilience Plan (Plan) is a roadmap for Lee County and its municipalities to support their unique communities in building back from and continuing to thrive despite the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian. More than 6,000 stakeholders provided input. The Recovery Task Force voted unanimously to approve the Plan on February 23, 2024. The Plan was accepted by the Lee Board of County Commissioners for final consideration at the regularly scheduled Board meeting on March 19.
